Bill Hubert – in loving memory

My dearest friend, teacher, honorary ‘Dad’…

On June 18th 2023 Bill Hubert passed, in Wichita, USA. I was fortunate to be with Bill and his family and close friends at the end. To share stories, hear from friends via zoom and emails from around the world was emotional beyond belief but showed the LOVE that so many of us hold for Bill.

I first met Bill at a 3 day Bal-A-Vis-X training in 2011, and after day 1, invited Bill to come to Scotland. 6 months later Bill & Barb made their first visit to Scotland, this was repeated over the next 7 years, only to be interrupted by Covid. Our friendship started through Bal-A-Vis-X and deepened through our shared interests of helping children & adults, books, sport, family, coffee, good wine (Merlot), politics …

Bill has had a profound effect on how I see, listen, attend, and carry myself through life. He provided a wealth of knowledge and shared this with so many. He took genuine interest in what you had to say and also provided a positive influence, sincere thoughts and advice. Bill & Barb are a part of our ‘family’, we are forever grateful to have had this closeness to two amazing people – now one, Barb.

Bill was “genius” on so many levels, his Bal-A-Vis-X Programme began as he taught 1st graders and then continued as he taught middle school. Always searching for ways to help the children that struggled, and then adults. Bill won awards for his teaching, he was a martial arts expert, an accomplished musician, and basketball player – he was a compassionate contributor to the lives of many. Bill continued to grow Bal-A-Vis-X around the world, through his ability to connect people who shared his vision. We are all part of the BAVX family. May this give us all strength to honour and uphold the legacy of Bill Huberts Bal-A-Vis-X programme.

Bill my dearest friend, teacher, honorary ‘Dad’ – you are, forever in my heart ❤️💛💚
